Massachusetts, US. is dominating the solar industry by running ahead of its own shadow -- if it had one! - May-7th-2013

A press release last week stated that Massachusetts has surpassed its set goal of installing 250 megawatts (MW) of solar energy by 2017; a benchmark achieved four years ahead. With this, a new goal of 1,600 MW by 2020 was announced.

Being ranked 7th in the US. in terms of installed solar capacity, Massachusetts can only go further due to its successful solar initiatives in place -- Solarize Massachusetts, Commonwealth Solar Green Communities and Leading by Example, Plus net metering -- provide much needed incentives for residents and businesses to buy or lease solar power systems. Absolute Green Energy donates $3,000.00 to the Worcester Sustainable Business Leader Program - 4/20/2011

Absolute Green Energy Corporation has supported the creation of a Worcester pilot program of the Sustainable Business Leader Program (SBLP) now based in Boston. They are doing this by participating in the program, and they also have generously donated $3,000.00 to support the Worcester program pilot. This will greatly help reduce the financial barrier to participation, and may motivate other local businesses to join and move Worcester one step closer to becoming a "Green" community.

Launched in 2008 in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA), the SBLP has worked with over 90 businesses in Greater Boston to date across 20 diverse business sectors to become environmentally sustainable business leaders. The Worcester SBLP team with assistance from SBN Greater Boston aims to assist 10+ local and independent businesses throughout the city in becoming more environmentally sustainable. The goal of the program is to reduce businesses environmental impacts as well as operating costs through resource use reductions, and as a result strengthen and grow the local economy.

On the Job Training (OJT) Meeting with Congressman McGovern - March 22nd 2011

Absolute Green Energy Corporation was invited by the Work Central Career Center to give a talk on our experience working with the OJT program to the Worcester public at Quinsigamond Community College at a meeting co-hosted by Congressman McGovern's office here in Worcester. It was a very interesting and friendly meeting and we had a stimulating feedback from a past participant.

Congressman McGovern who gave the opening speech stressed on how important private businesses like Absolute Green Energy Corp. are to the economy at this point. Take home message was that - job growth shows very promising figures and that employers, and employee sponsoring agencies should work together to fill the empty gap between jop posting and relevant skills requirement.

In this economy, we realize that many employees are searching for skills that are very scarce in the job market. But entities such as the Work Central Career Center help job seekers get the necessary training and get linked to probable employees.
