Mike Ortolano: President/Chief Engineer (NABCEP)
Mr. Ortolano has always had a passion for Renewable Energy, and enjoys working in the field of Solar Energy. He has extensive technical knowledge and expertise on the Solar Energy resource, and is certified in advanced and Grid-Tied PhotoVoltaics. Mike has always been interested in helping his clients cut energy costs and reduce their carbon foot prints.
Mr. Ortolano is a NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer; he has a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), and has served five years in the US Navy as a Nuclear Propulsion Program Project Officer (Rank Lieutenant). He has served as the President of the Massachusetts Section of SPI. Mr. Ortolano currently serves on the SPI Machinery Division's Safety Committee, and has been involved with engineering systems since 1989.
Mike Ortolano is also a co-founder and vice President of the affiliate company Absolute Machinery Corporation, created in 2000, and is one of three founders and Treasurer of Absolute Haitian Corporation, created in 2006.
Nathan Smith: Vice President
Mr. Smith also shares Mike's passion for Renewable Energy. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Nichols College. Mr. Smith has served as the President of the Connecticut Section of SPI and is currently a Board Member of the Machinery Dealers National Association. He has been involved in capital equipment and systems since 1991.
Nathan Smith is also a co-founder and President of the affiliate company Absolute Machinery Corporation (2000), and is a co-founder and Vice President of Absolute Haitian Corporation (2006).
Glenn Frohring: Vice President
Mr. Frohring is also one of three founders and President of Absolute Haitian Corporation (2006). He is responsible for Sales and Marketing.
Bill Lanpher: General Manager (NABCEP)
Mr. Lanpher brings 17 years of management experience to Absolute Green Energy Corp, with the last 6 having been focused on alternative energy. Bill is a NABCEP Certified PV Installer, with vast knowledge about both the technology and the business. Bill has served as COO for two New Hampshire based alternative energy businesses, having designed and installed more than a dozen systems in Southern New Hampshire. He also served as the National Solar Project Manager for one of the largest commercial roof manufacturers in the world, designing and managing projects throughout the country.
Mr. Lanpher has held a number of positions that require the close integration of mechanical, electrical and management skills, including the application of information technology to meet strategic business and financial objectives. Past experience includes serving as VP of Research & Technologies for Go Green Fuel, LLC, as Director of Technologies for Revere Suburban Realty Corp and as Director of Operations for Citynet Telecommunications, Inc.
Bill has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Almeda University, along with multiple certifications including; Ka-Te Robotic’s Master Instructor, EPA-608 HVAC Certification, First Aid, CPR, Lockout/Tag out, Safety Committee Leadership, Emergency Action Plans & Response Preparedness.
Rich Herald - Director of Sales and Marketing
Rich Herald joined the Absolute Group of Companies bringing with him 18 years of product and system sales management. Rich has honed his experience within the Building Industry for Residential Condo Conversions, Semiconductor Supply Chain Management and Renewable Energy System Integrations. Recently Rich managed solar sales development throughout the Northeast for a tier 1 solar module manufacturer, and worked extensively in various renewable energy system installation roles including solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and geothermal systems. Rich has a BA from Northeastern University, holds the NABCEP PV Technical Sales Certification, attended Photovoltaic Boot Camp, holds a Geothermal Professional Certificate, and has attended various Inverter trainings and OSHA 10.
Craig Thornton: Chief Financial Officer
Craig is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and has a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Worcester State College as well as an advanced degree in accounting from New England School of Accounting. He has an extensive background in both finance and management for manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and communication companies. Craig has been a member of the Absolute Companies since 2008.
Kathy Ethier: Office Manager/Accountant
Kathy holds an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) here in Worcester, MA. Kathy has been with the Absolute Group since 2004 as the Office Manager and Accountant. She is responsible for general bookkeeping. Kathy has a great personality, and we are glad she is with us at Absolute Green Energy Corporation.
Charles H. Cady Jr.: Project Manager
Charles has been a project manager and designer in the construction industry for 30+ years. He has expertise in all phases of the construction process from initial product design to on site supervision and interaction with contractors, architects, and building officials. His role at Absolute Green Energy Corp. will be to ensure that all projects, both residential and commercial are installed in a professional and timely manner. Charles is friendly, has a very likable personality, and we are happy to have him join our team.
Dmitri Strunkin: New England Area Manager
Dmitri has a Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. He has expertise in sales of industrial machinery and customer engagement. Dmitri has held past positions as a corporate account manager before joining Absolute Green Energy Corp. where he is responsible for managing select corporate accounts and partner relationships.
Dmitri is also in charge of generating new Business, servicing existing accounts, and managing projects for the Absolute Group of companies in New England, New York & New Jersey.
Derick Ajumni: Social Media Consultant Derick holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Science and Policy, with skills in Green Business Management, from Clark University here in Worcester, MA. He is a BPI Certified Building Analyst, and has an extensive background in Management of Environmental Systems, Weatherization, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development. He is an OSHA 10 Certified Environmental Science and Policy Analyst.
Derick is responsible for various aspects of developing our approach to building a robust, profitable business in renewable energy systems. He is also responsible for prospecting, networking, and documenting best practices for implementation of residential and commercial solar PV/ Thermal Systems.
